Mercor seeks a contract ML Engineer experienced with frontier AI coding agents to join our remote team. You will work on building and evaluating production ML systems, deploying model infrastructure, and integrating LLM applications into AI-powered products.

You will regularly use coding agents such as Cursor, Claude Code, Codex, Windsurf, or Gemini CLI to review and improve model-generated ML implementations, diagnosing issues and optimizing performance.

Formación

• Must have 2+ years of ML engineering experience in production contexts.
• Experience building production ML systems and deployment infrastructure.
• Regularly use AI coding agents or similar tools for ML tasks.
• Ability to evaluate model-generated ML implementations and tradeoffs.

Responsabilidades

• Use frontier AI coding agents to complete and evaluate complex ML tasks.
• Review model-generated implementations involving training, inference, MLOps, and LLM apps.
• Identify bugs, edge cases, and performance issues in AI models.
• Compare outputs from multiple frontier models and assess strengths/weaknesses.
• Apply professional engineering judgment to realistic ML scenarios.
