Solventum is seeking an ML Engineer to build and maintain pipelines powering AI in Healthcare Information Systems. You will bridge data science and software engineering, deploying models as scalable APIs and ensuring reliability in production.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of professional experience in software engineering or data engineering.
• 5 years of experience in Python and familiarity with SQL.
• 2 years of experience working in production ML environments.
• 5 years of experience with AWS and containerization (Docker).
• 3 years of experience working with Java.
• 3 years of experience with ML libraries (PyTorch or Scikit-learn) and MLOps tools (Airflow, Prefect, BentoML, Kubeflow).
• 4 years with data processing frameworks (Pandas, Spark, or dbt).
• Familiarity with deploying Large Language Models (LLMs) or LangChain.
• Experience working in regulated environments (Healthcare, Finance, etc.).
• Understanding of API design and microservices architecture.

Responsibilities

• MLOps & Deployment: Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for machine learning, focusing on automated testing, model deployment, and version control.
• Model Serving: Deploy ML models as scalable APIs and microservices, ensuring performance and latency for clinical use.
• Monitoring: Implement basic monitoring for model performance, data drift, and system health in production.
• Data Engineering & Integration: Develop ETL processes to transform healthcare data (FHIR, HL7) into usable datasets.
• Feature Management: Build and maintain feature stores and data layers for training and production.
• System Integration: Collaborate with backend teams to integrate ML outputs into core healthcare applications.
• Code Quality: Write clean, well-documented Python code and participate in code reviews.
• Containerization: Use Docker and Kubernetes to package and orchestrate ML workloads.
• Security & Compliance: Meet HIPAA and HITRUST standards in data handling and deployments.
