Job summary

DataAnnotation is seeking software engineers to advance AI development. You’ll join a community of over 100,000 professionals across front-end, back-end, full-stack, ML, DevOps and more, driving real-world impact in AI development.

Some contributors fit this work alongside a full-time role, while others make it their primary focus, choosing projects and schedules that align with their availability and goals. Payment is hourly via PayPal, with currency conversions handled as needed.

Qualifications

• Fluency in English (native or bilingual level).
• Proficiency in at least one modern programming language (e.g., Python, JavaScript, Java, etc.).
• Strong software engineering fundamentals including problem-solving, debugging, and code review.
• Excellent written communication skills.
• A bachelor's degree (completed or in progress).
• Previous experience as a Software Engineer or similar role preferred.

Responsibilities

• Create and work with coding environments, unit tests, and verifiers.
• Design and solve diverse coding problems used to train AI systems.
• Write clear, high-quality code and technical explanations.
• Evaluate model trajectories for accuracy, performance, readability, and best practices.
• Identify bugs, edge cases, and opportunities for improvement in AI-generated solutions.
• Provide structured feedback that helps improve the next generation of AI models.
