Job summary

Pathway Genomics Corp. is seeking a Machine Learning DevOps engineer with cloud and compute cluster management experience. The role focuses on scaling infrastructures, automating ML/LLM pipelines, and Linux administration in a cloud-centric environment.

You will manage GPUs, distributed compute, model versioning, and CI/CD workflows while collaborating with ML and software teams to support terabyte-scale data processing.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Linux and shell scripting as core tools for day-to-day tasks.
• Experience with workload management and container orchestration (Slurm, Docker, Kubernetes).
• Solid understanding of CI/CD tools and workflows (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI).
• Cloud expertise across AWS, GCP, Azure with ML services (SageMaker Hyperpod, Vertex AI).
• Familiarity with monitoring/logging tools (Grafana, CloudWatch, Prometheus, Loki).
• Experience with infrastructure as code (Terraform, CloudFormation).
• Experience with ML pipeline orchestration tools (MLflow, Kubeflow, Airflow, Metaflow).
• Programming in Python with ML libraries (TensorFlow, PyTorch).
• Experience with cluster, systems, and networks administration.

Responsibilities

• Optimize infrastructure for ML training and inference (GPUs, distributed compute).
• Automate and maintain ML/LLM pipelines (data ingestion, training, validation, deployment).
• Manage model versioning, reproducibility, and traceability.
• Work with terabyte-scale datasets and ML-focused CI/CD practices.
• Monitor model performance and data drift in production.
• Collaborate with ML engineers, software engineers, and platform teams.
• Ensure scalability, reliability, and automation across the ML lifecycle.
