Job summary

Pennwood Cyber Charter School seeks a state-certified Middle School/High School Science Teacher to deliver remote instruction from a home office in Pennsylvania. You will manage asynchronous and synchronous lessons, communicate with learning coaches, students, and parents, and ensure students progress through the cyber curriculum.

The role requires PA residency, strong tech skills with Microsoft Office and Google Suite, and the ability to collaborate with PLCs.

Qualifications

• Highly qualified and certified to teach Middle School and/or High School in Pennsylvania
• Endorsements in EL or multiple subject areas a plus
• Pennsylvania residency
• Experience teaching in a cyber learning environment a plus
• Strong technology skills (Microsoft Office & Google Suite)
• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
• Highly organized and punctual
• Willingness to travel for state testing, school and marketing events

Responsibilities

• Deliver asynchronous and synchronous instruction in whole group, small group, and 1-1 settings
• Complete grading, lesson preparation, student and parent communications promptly
• Collaborate with other teachers (PLCs) to develop Personal Learning Plans and assess student work
• Develop knowledge of K-12 curriculum and course-specific content
• Maintain student records and data accurately, including attendance and communications
• Coordinate with Engagement and Counseling Departments to support students and families
