Job summary

Indiana Connections Academy is seeking a certified Middle School Visual Art Teacher to deliver high-quality art instruction to students in Indiana. You may work from home in Indiana or from a designated office location in Indianapolis, using both asynchronous and synchronous tools to engage learners.

The role requires strong technology skills, excellent communication with learning coaches and students, and the ability to manage grading, progress reports, and conferences.

Qualifications

• Certified to teach Middle School Visual Art in Indiana.
• Residency in Indiana.
• Strong technology skills (MS Office).
• Excellent communication skills (oral and written).
• Willingness to travel for marketing and state testing events (occasional).
• Ability to work remotely and use a personal device with two-step authentication.

Responsibilities

• Grade, create progress reports and conduct parent conferences timely.
• Support instruction with asynchronous web conferencing and synchronous teaching.
• Review curriculum and adapt lessons to improve understanding.
• Communicate regularly with parents, students, and teachers to update learning plans.
• Collaborate with teachers to ensure student progress and central contact for families.
• Coordinate field trips and social activities; participate in state testing as directed.
• Other duties as assigned.
