Job summary

Xpert Development is seeking a Mid-Level Software Engineer to join our LATAM-based team on a contract basis. You will design, build, and ship features across backend and frontend systems while owning well-scoped work within a distributed engineering environment.

The role requires 3–5 years of professional software development experience, proficiency in Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, or Go, API design, and relational database knowledge.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of professional software development experience.
• Proficiency in one or more modern languages such as Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, or Go.
• Experience designing and consuming APIs and working with relational databases.
• Excellent English speaking and communication skills, with the ability to work independently in a distributed team.
• Based in Latin America and able to overlap with standard US working hours.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain features across our backend and/or frontend systems.
• Take ownership of well-scoped projects from implementation through delivery.
• Collaborate with engineers, product, and design partners across time zones.
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to engineering best practices.
