Job summary

O'Keefe Millwork is seeking an experienced Drafter/Engineer to create cabinet and millwork shop drawings from architectural blueprints, using Microvellum, with a strong background in custom cabinetry. You will collaborate across project management, estimators, purchasing and production to keep information flowing and quality high.

The role supports on-site work in River Falls, WI or remote work in several states, emphasizing meeting deadlines, detail orientation, and proactive problem-solving in

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of drafting and releasing experience in Microvellum.
• Strong knowledge of cabinet layout and millwork fabrication methods and materials.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Detail-oriented, well-organized, team player, and able to meet deadlines.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings and specifications.
• Strong problem solving and information-tracking abilities.
• Self-starter capable of working under tight deadlines while producing high-quality drawings.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret architectural drawings.
• Design accurate shop drawings of cabinetry/furniture layouts in Microvellum.
• Use 2D and 3D drawings to communicate product details for fabrication efficiency.
• Monitor quality, cut lists and project status prior to production release.
• Collaborate with internal departments to gather information and mitigate problems.
• Meet or exceed project deadlines with limited supervision.
• Drive process improvement and best practices.
