Job summary

Tier One Technologies is seeking a Microservices Developer to support a U.S. government client. This is a 100% remote contract-to-hire position requiring US citizenship or Permanent Residence status and eligibility for a Public Trust clearance.

Responsibilities include designing, building, and maintaining Spring Boot microservices with Java 21/25, creating RESTful APIs, deploying on Kubernetes, and integrating with AWS/on-prem databases. Emphasis on security, observability, and CI/CD pipelines.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in IT software development.
• Strong knowledge of Spring Boot microservices.
• Hands-on experience with Java 21 and Java 25.
• US Citizen or Permanent Residence status (Green Card).
• Ability to obtain Position of Public Trust Clearance.
• Ability to pass drug screening, criminal history and credit checks.
• Residency in the United States for the past 5 years.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain Spring Boot microservices.
• Create and evolve RESTful APIs with versioning and backward compatibility.
• Deploy and operate services on Kubernetes with health probes and autoscaling.
• Integrate services with on-prem and AWS-hosted databases.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for build, test, and deployment.
• Implement secure service-to-service authentication/authorization.
• Add observability with logging, metrics, tracing, and dashboards.
