Job summary

Climavision is seeking a Meteorologist to join the Meteorology Solutions Team, delivering real-time, client-facing weather intelligence for energy, commodities, and weather-sensitive clients. This remote US role involves monitoring weather patterns, producing forecasts, and briefing stakeholders while collaborating with Product, Sales, and Customer Success to translate data into actionable insights.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Meteorology or related field required; advanced degree a plus.
  • Combined 5–7 years of operational forecasting or client-facing meteorology experience.
  • Experience translating weather data into actionable insights for diverse audiences.
  • Familiarity with radar, NWP, AI, and geospatial weather data products.
  • Ability to work in agile, fast-paced startup environments.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor weather patterns and model guidance to produce accurate forecasts for utilities, energy, and commodities.
  • Translate meteorological data and forecast uncertainty into clear guidance for technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Deliver forecast briefings, alerts, and ad hoc analyses to clients and internal teams.
  • Collaborate with Sales and Customer Success on onboarding, product demos, and forecast consultations.
  • Work with Product and Engineering to inform forecasting tools, data products, and workflows.
  • Support operating procedures, escalation protocols, and quality standards.
  • Track forecast performance and verification metrics to improve accuracy and value.
