Job summary

LMI seeks a Mesh Hardware Engineering Lead to provide technical leadership for our next generation of connected hardware platforms. This role blends hands-on engineering with strategic direction across electrical, firmware, RF, mechanical, manufacturing, and cloud teams, to deliver mission-ready solutions for DoD modernization.

You will mentor engineers, define architecture, drive secure hardware and OTA capabilities, and oversee asset tags, gateways, sensors, wearables, and edge computing

Qualifications

• 10+ years of embedded hardware experience across IoT or connected systems.
• Proven track record leading multidisciplinary hardware teams.
• Experience with DoD or federal technology programs is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Act as technical leader for Mesh Hardware Engineering Team.
• Define vision, architecture, and roadmap for Mesh hardware platform.
• Mentor engineers across electrical, firmware, RF, and hardware disciplines.
• Lead design reviews and drive engineering decisions across the product lifecycle.
• Establish standards, processes, and testing methodologies to ensure quality.
• Oversee hardware bring-up, validation, and production readiness.
• Ensure secure hardware/firmware architecture including OTA updates.
