Job summary

First Quality is seeking an MES Solution Engineer to lead the definition, design, and delivery of manufacturing systems across multiple sites, remotely from home. The role requires deep knowledge of MES and related technologies, with focus on GE Proficy, PARCview, Historian, and ERP integration.

You will work with IT leadership to translate business needs into scalable, 24x7 capable solutions. The ideal candidate has 5+ years in manufacturing IT, strong communication, and the ability to travel

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field.
• Seven plus years of progressive IT experience with at least 5 years in Manufacturing Systems.
• Ability to document business requirements and translate to IT capabilities.
• Experience in 24x7 shop floor environments and enterprise IT standards.
• Willingness to travel ~25% of the time.

Responsibilities

• Lead and deliver Class B manufacturing systems projects on time and within budget.
• Define requirements, scope solutions, and oversee delivery of MES/Manufacturing Systems.
• Ensure integration to ERP, Analytics, and support organizations.
• Provide SME input for MES systems and coordinate with site personnel and IT leaders.
• Maintain system performance, scalability, and alignment with IT architecture.
