Ideal candidates hold a CA Professional Engineer license, ICC MEP certifications, and 5+ years of plan review experience, with strong communication and organization skills.

Qualifications

• CA Professional Engineer license required.
• ICC Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing Plans Examiner certifications preferred.
• 5+ years' experience reviewing CA Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing Codes

Responsibilities

• Reviews all plans and specifications for commercial, industrial, and residential projects to ensure compliance with CA Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing codes.
• Attend preconstruction meetings with contractors and/or developers as requested.
• Provides technical direction and assistance to inspection personnel relating to field problems.
• Assess and resolve concerns from clients, applicants, public, designers, and contractors.
• Interacts with municipal clients and staff; participates in meetings and seminars relating to building codes.
