Job summary

Homewood Health, Canada\u2019s leading provider of evidence-based mental health and addiction treatment, is seeking a Mental Health Therapist for First Call Care. The role involves delivering confidential counselling via EFAP, quick telephonic assessments, and crisis support, within a cross-functional team environment.

The candidate will build treatment plans, complete case notes, and perform risk assessments, contributing to timely and effective service delivery.

Qualifications

• Master's degree required in Counselling, Social Work or Psychology.
• Registration in good standing with governing body (Social Worker, Psychotherapist, MFT or CCC).
• 2–3 years of clinical mental health experience with diverse issues.
• Experience in crisis hotlines or EFAP is preferred.
• English language proficiency; French an asset.

Responsibilities

• Deliver EFAP and other clinical services including confidential counselling and case management.
• Provide quick telephonic assessments for client behaviour, emotional health, and crises.
• Develop treatment plans and progress notes; determine closure with Clinical Manager.
• Create action outlines with clients under supervision and perform psychosocial assessments as needed.
• Conduct risk assessments and support suicide or risk prevention interventions.
• Maintain service levels and document interventions; collaborate with Stay at Work team.
• Lead workshops when required and provide CMS if needed.
