Job summary

Renewed Horizons Therapy is seeking a licensed mental health counselor for a fully remote, full-time position in New Jersey. The role focuses on mood disorders, delivering evidence-based therapy via telehealth to clients across the state, with flexible hours Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–5:00 PM.

You will collaborate with psychiatrists and multidisciplinary teams, develop individualized treatment plans, and monitor outcomes to ensure high-quality care and patient well-being.

Qualifications

• Master’s or doctoral degree in a mental health field is required.
• Holds a current and valid license as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in New Jersey.
• Demonstrated expertise in CBT and DBT for mood disorders.
• Strong understanding of psychopharmacology for integrated care with psychiatrists.
• Proven success in achieving therapeutic outcomes for mood disorders.
• Excellent verbal and written communication to build rapport with clients.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of mood disorder symptoms, including severity, frequency, and duration.
• Collaborate with clients to create individualized treatment plans.
• Implement CBT and DBT to treat mood disorders effectively.
• Educate clients and families on mood disorders and self-care strategies.
• Monitor progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.
• Work with psychiatrists and other clinicians to coordinate care.
• Stay current on mood disorder research and best practices.
• Maintain confidential records of interactions, assessments, and plans.
• Attend team meetings, case consultations, and professional development.
• Advocate for clients and reduce stigma in the community.
