Job summary

Premera is seeking a Membership Specialist II to perform moderate to complex reconciliation analysis and audit activities for Individual or Group accounts receivable, resolving enrollment, reconciliation and billing issues under minimal supervision. The role emphasizes accurate documentation and adherence to contractual guidelines.

You will use Excel and Access to update eligibility and enrollment records, process refunds and transfers, and ensure timely maintenance while meeting key performance

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Two years of accounting/finance/bookkeeping experience or an Associate’s Degree in accounting/finance (Required).
• One year prior experience as Membership Analyst I or in a Premera position with reconciliation experience. (Required).
• Health or insurance industry experience (Preferred).
• Associates or Bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance (Preferred).

Responsibilities

• Identify, resolve and document complex reconciliation discrepancies independently.
• Process refunds, transfers of premiums, reinstatements, and insufficient fund issues.
• Utilize Excel/Access to update eligibility, enrollment and reconciliation of accounts.
• Meet or exceed department metrics for production and quality.
• Educate members, brokers, or groups on membership and billing processes.
