PacificSource is seeking a Member Support Specialist to support members with complex psycho-social needs, coordinating with case managers and providers to improve health outcomes. The role involves telephonic and in-person engagement, assistance with referrals, and resource connections within the healthcare system.

The position requires at least three years in community services or healthcare, strong communication skills, and proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum three years of experience in community services or healthcare.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Knowledge of medical terminology.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop goals/plans to assist members in navigating the healthcare system.
• Educate members on benefit structures and options.
• Use motivational interviewing to support member health outcomes.
• Identify community resources and make referrals as appropriate.
• Serve as liaison between members and providers/agencies.
• Ensure HIPAA compliance and accurate documentation.
