Job summary

Pharmacy Careers is seeking a Medication Access / Patient Support Pharmacist to help patients start therapy on time with remote options available. You'll navigate prior authorizations, insurance requirements, and financial assistance programs, collaborating with care teams to reduce access barriers.

You will educate patients and healthcare providers on coverage options, manufacturer assistance, and patient support programs, while tracking outcomes to improve access processes and patient care.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills, problem-solving ability, and a patient advocacy mindset are required.
• Experience with managed care, patient access programs, or specialty pharmacy is preferred.
• Hospital, ambulatory, and community pharmacy backgrounds considered for transition to this role.

Responsibilities

• Support prescribers and patients through prior-authorization and coverage processes.
• Identify eligibility for manufacturer assistance, co-pay support, and patient assistance programs.
• Coordinate with providers, case managers, and payers to ensure timely approval and delivery.
• Educate patients and staff on insurance coverage, financial resources, and access options.
• Track outcomes and continuously improve processes that reduce barriers to care.
