Qualifications

• Minimum of 4 years in insurance billing/follow-up.
• Familiarity with CMS billing rules and vendor systems.
• Experience interpreting and resolving payer denials.

Responsibilities

• Ensure collection of funds for hospital billable services and meet goals.
• Support Director of Patient Accounting to maximize cash flow.
• Maintain accuracy in paper and electronic claims processing.
• Follow up on accounts to ensure timely payments.
• Explain hospital charges and coverage to patients.
• Develop relationships with third-party payers and vendors.
• Investigate denials and rejections and provide explanations.
• Submit Medicare First Level Appeals after approval when needed.
