Job summary

Devoted Health is seeking a Pricing Actuary to lead our annual Medicare Advantage bid strategy and execution. The role demands deep MA bid modeling expertise, CMS regulatory acumen, and a track record of timely, accurate bid submissions across markets.

The candidate will collaborate across Finance, Clinical Operations, and Network Management to craft pricing, benefit design, and risk-adjustment strategies that align with financial targets and growth plans, while ensuring regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of progressive healthcare actuarial experience with 5+ years in Medicare Advantage bid pricing and CMS bid submission.
• Demonstrated ability to drive complex, time-sensitive projects to completion and meet regulatory deadlines.
• Advanced proficiency in actuarial modeling, data extraction, and financial modeling tools (SQL, Python, R, SAS, Excel).
• Thorough understanding of Medicare Advantage pricing mechanics, risk adjustment models, and benchmark calculations.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute Medicare Advantage bid strategy and annual bid leadership.
• Lead end-to-end bid development, modeling, and CMS-compliant submission.
• Collaborate with product, clinical, and market leaders on pricing and benefit design.
• Establish and document core bid assumptions and margin targets.
• Build scalable bid pricing models with governance and repeatable execution.
• Perform scenario analyses to quantify financial impacts of CMS policy changes.
