Powers Health is seeking a dedicated Medical Transcriptionist who can accurately transcribe medical and dental dictation from a digital system. The role includes transcribing from departments such as Neurodiagnostics, Cardiology, and Radiology on a priority basis, and assisting with training new staff.

All reports become part of the medical record. The ideal candidate has a high school diploma, medical terminology coursework, and at least one year of hospital transcription experience.

Formación

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of a certified medical terminology course.
• One year of medical transcription experience preferred.
• Knowledge of medical, surgical, pharmaceutical terms helpful.
• Typing speed 60 wpm required.
• Strong proofreading and communication skills essential.

Responsabilidades

• Transcribe medical/surgical dictation accurately for legal records.
• Handle dictation from Ancillary Departments on priority basis.
• Assist with training of new employees.
• Respond to inquiries about dictated reports.
