Job summary

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of VA coding experience in outpatient, inpatient, and surgical packages.
• 1 year of VA Lead Coder experience.
• Prior MRT Supervisor experience.

Responsibilities

• Provides oversight of Coding Leads and MRTs, directing work of staff.
• Evaluates performance and approves leave requests; identifies training needs.
• Maintains workflow, productivity, and reporting for coder unit.
• Reviews coding accuracy and provides guidance to staff to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Analyzes documentation systems to optimize workload and reimbursement.
• Ensures proper coding and sequencing per regulations and policies.
