Cor Vel is seeking a remote Workers’ Compensation Medical Only Claims Specialist to manage non-complex medical-only claims under supervision. The role emphasizes accurate coverage validation, reserving, and clear communication with clients, claimants, and customers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent; 1+ year workers’ compensation claims handling.
• Experience handling medical-only, non-complex claims preferred.
• Licensed as required by jurisdiction.
• Excellent written and verbal communication required.

Responsabilités

• Receive Workers’ Compensation claims, confirm policy coverage and acknowledgement of the claim.
• Determine the validity and compensability of the claim.
• Establish reserves and authorize payments within established reserving authority limits.
• Communicate claim status with the customer, claimant and client.
• Assist other claims professionals with more complex or problematic claims as necessary.
• Adhere to client and carrier guidelines and participates in claims review as needed.
• Additional duties as assigned.
