Job summary

The Language Group is seeking a remote health-care interpreter to serve non-English speaking patients and healthcare providers from a home office. This role emphasizes accuracy, confidentiality, and adherence to national ethics and practice standards.

Candidates must have at least 3 years of interpreting experience (OPI/VRI preferred) and hold an applicable interpreter certification, plus strong communication and computer skills.

Qualifications

• 3 years minimum interpreting experience; OPI/VRI preferred.
• Fluency in English and target language; ability to provide fluency test results.
• Knowledge of medical, educational, and social services terminology.

Responsibilities

• Accurately interprets messages between non-English speaking patients and healthcare providers or support personnel on-site.
• Adheres to the National Standards of Practice for Interpreters in Health Care and the National Code of Ethics for Interpreters in Health Care.
• Maintain patient confidentiality.
