Job summary

ProPharma is seeking a Medical Information Specialist to support our pharmaceutical clients by delivering accurate medical information and safety responses. The role requires nursing credentials (US/Canada), strong communication skills, and the ability to document events and inquiries precisely.

The MIS will handle AE reporting, follow SOPs, and ensure timely responses while maintaining high data quality and privacy compliance.

Qualifications

• Nursing degree (RN/BS/BA/MS) in Canada or US is required.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• English language proficiency.
• Working knowledge of medical terminology, pharmacology and regulatory standards.
• Ability to multitask under tight deadlines and maintain attention to detail.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat and document management systems.

Responsibilities

• Respond to medical and safety information requests from physicians, nurses and consumers via phone, email, letter or fax.
• Provide accurate, compliant medical information and adverse event reporting per SOPs and regulatory requirements.
• Document inquiries and events in the inquiry handling system with clarity and timeliness.
• Maintain quality checks on adverse events, product complaints, and communications.
