Job summary

McGraw Hill is seeking a Director of Medical Education to oversee a contracted physician SME network and ensure accuracy of student-facing medical content across the product suite. The role partners with product, content, marketing, and customer success teams to align medical education with institutional needs.

You will manage quality standards, contribute to content strategy, and guide two internal SMEs, while driving strategic planning for new content initiatives in a remote, national scope.

Qualifications

• MD or DO and board certification in a core medical specialty.
• 8–10+ years teaching or faculty experience in medical education.
• Experience writing and editing USMLE-style assessment items.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, vet, train, and manage a network of contracted physician SMEs across specialties.
• Develop onboarding materials and quality benchmarks for SME output.
• Oversee medical content accuracy for the Comprehensive Medical Ontology (CMO).
• Collaborate with product and content teams on roadmap and content initiatives.
