Job summary

Siemens Healthineers is seeking a Medical Dosimetrist for a remote role in the U.S. Thriving in a global healthcare leader, you will design treatment plans, contour target and critical structures, and support simulation, localization, and delivery using CT/MRI/PET data.

Requires MDCB board certification and Eclipse/ARIA proficiency. Base pay ranges from $134,300 to $184,668, with geography and experience influencing compensation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Board Certification by the MDCB.
• Eclipse/ARIA experience required.
• Knowledgeable in anatomy, physiology, oncology, radiobiology, radiation physics, and radiation safety.
• Expertise in the technical aspects of radiation oncology and medical physics.
• Knowledgeable in health care informatics—data acquisition, storage, and retrieval.

Responsibilities

• Design a treatment plan with optimal beam geometry to deliver prescribed dose.
• Identify and contour structures using CT, MRI and PET data.
• Create and transfer reference images and localization markers for verification and delivery.
• Supervise, perform or assist in simulations and tumor localization using CT, MRI, PET.
• Plan and implement fabrication of compensators, shields, wedges, and beam modifiers.
• Plan and implement production of molds and immobilization devices.
• Communicate treatment plan details with radiation therapists and staff.
• Perform dose calculations and document results with verification.
