Dermacore Wound Care in California seeks an experienced Medical Director (MD or DO) for part-time, independent contractor work, primarily remote. You will provide clinical oversight, supervise NPs/PAs, review documentation, and support QA activities with the VP of Clinical Operations & Services.

Responsibilities include monthly chart reviews, adherence to clinical standards, and collaboration on policies. Requires CA license, active MD/DO, and liability insurance.

Qualifications

• MD/DO from an accredited medical school.
• Active, unrestricted California physician license.
• Qualified to supervise NPs and PAs under California requirements.
• Current professional liability insurance meeting contractual requirements.
• Experience in clinical oversight, medical documentation, and collaboration.
• Strong communication and decision-making skills.
• Ability to participate in monthly reviews and provide clinical consultation.

Responsabilités

• Provide physician-level clinical oversight for wound care services by NPs/PAs.
• Review practices, treatment plans, and documentation for quality outcomes.
• Identify risks and opportunities for improvement; collaborate on QA initiatives.
• Review and authenticate patient charts and notes; ensure medical necessity.
• Supervise and consult with NPs and PAs; develop practice agreements.
• Support regulatory compliance and audits; participate in quarterly meetings.
• Contribute to policies, protocols, and standardized procedures.
