IQVIA is seeking a Medical Director, Rheumatologist to lead medical oversight for rheumatology clinical trials from a home-based U.S. position.
The role involves serving as Medical Monitor and Scientific Advisor, supporting investigators and staff on protocol-related issues, and contributing to strategic trial design. Ideal candidates hold a Medical degree and Rheumatology board certification with 3+ years in clinical trials, including immunology trials, and must communicate effectively in
Qualifications
- Medical degree from an accredited and internationally recognized medical school.
- Board certified in Rheumatology.
- Minimum 3 years clinical trials experience as medical/clinical expert in Pharma, CRO, or Biotech.
- Experience in immunology clinical trials as Medical Director, SLE experience preferred.
- Strong communication and English proficiency.
Responsibilities
- Serve as Medical Monitor on assigned clinical trials (global or regional).
- Act as Scientific Advisor to Project Leaders on medical and scientific aspects.
- Provide medical support to sites and project staff for protocol-related issues.
- Provide therapeutic area training for project team.
- Attend Investigator Meetings and present findings.
- Review trial-related Adverse Events and ensure compliance.
- Travel 30% regionally and internationally as needed.
