World Oncology Network is seeking an experienced Radiation Oncology Medical Director to oversee oncology-specific utilization, reviews, and policy implementation remotely across the United States. You will guide predetermination reviews, manage peer-to-peer processes, and contribute to medical policy while coordinating with clinical teams.

Qualifications

• M.D. or D.O. with an active U.S. state medical license in good standing.
• Board certified in Radiation Oncology by ABMS or AOA.
• Eligible to obtain additional state licensure as required.
• 3+ years of radiation oncology experience in patient care or managed care.
• Able to travel 1-2 times per quarter for team or client meetings.

Responsabilités

• Support Oncology initiatives throughout the enterprise.
• Oversee utilization review and quality assurance; predetermination reviews and review of claim determinations; provide input for medical policy implementation.
• Handle Prior Authorization / Pre Certification / Concurrent Reviews / Peer to Peer Calls / First Level Appeals / Special Projects and Committee participation as needed.
• Provide clinical, coding, and reimbursement expertise; direct case management when necessary.
• Develop, implement, and evaluate clinical/medical programs and expand medical management programs to address member needs.
• Support Medical Management staff ensuring timely responses to members and providers.
• Provide clinical expertise and business direction in support of medical management programs through clinical team activities.
• Act as a business and clinical liaison to network providers and facilities to support medical services programs.
• Participate in weekend, holiday and on-call rotation.
