Job summary

UnitedHealth Group is seeking a Radiation Oncology physician to lead quality initiatives and evidence-based care across a national network. This remote-ready role involves collaboration with medical director teams and driving clinical excellence in patient care.

The successful candidate will hold an MD or DO, be board-certified in Radiation Oncology, and have 5+ years of clinical practice. A strong grounding in EB medicine and managed care is essential.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree required.
• Active, unrestricted physician state license.
• Board certification in Radiation Oncology (ABMS or AOA).
• 5+ years of clinical practice experience post residency.
• Solid understanding of evidence-based medicine and managed care principles.

Responsibilities

• Improve quality and promote evidence-based medicine.
• Provide information on quality and efficiency to doctors, patients and customers to inform care choices and drive improvement.
• Support initiatives that enhance quality throughout the national network.
• Ensure the right service is provided at the right time for each member.
• Collaborate with medical director teams on inpatient care management, clinical coverage review, and related reviews.
