Job summary

Knowesis is seeking a Medical Data Analyst I to support the Defense Centers for Public Health by advancing military and public health initiatives through data-driven decision-making. You will analyze health, administrative, and behavioral data and develop reports, dashboards, and presentations to inform leadership decisions.

The role requires ability to obtain Public Trust and U.S. citizenship without sponsorship. Remote work is available, and candidates must be U.S. citizens.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Biostatistics, Epidemiology, Public Health, or related field.
• Understanding of generalized linear models, logistic regression, and other statistical analysis techniques.
• One (1) or more years of experience with administrative, healthcare, public health, or military datasets.
• Experience using SAS programming, including DATA step processing, PROC procedures, and PROC SQL, to manage, analyze, and report datasets.
• Experience acquiring, validating, and performing quality assurance reviews of data.
• Experience developing and reviewing data analysis plans, technical reports, presentations, and other project deliverables.
• Experience preparing public health charts, tables, and analytical products to address epidemiological questions, including incidence and prevalence measures.
• Intermediate proficiency in technical writing related to data methodologies, analytical approaches, and statistical findings.
• Strong verbal and written communication, including explaining technical info to diverse audiences.
• Ability to work in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
• Must be a U.S. citizen.

Responsibilities

• Review, analyze, evaluate, design, implement, and maintain assigned databases and large data sets.
• Identify data sources, assist with data collection, and develop data flow diagrams and business processes.
• Develop public health study deliverables, surveillance products, and program evaluations.
• Develop and implement data quality assurance processes for military Public Health data.
• Apply quantitative, qualitative, and social science methods to public health studies.
• Develop and prepare Public Health reports, charts, and presentations as required.
• Study topics include substance use disorders, suicidality, sexual assault and other behavioral health issues in military populations.
