Atlantic Medical Management is currently seeking a professional Medical Coding Specialist. This remote role requires residency in North Carolina and focuses on collecting reimbursements, coding, and transmitting patient information while resolving discrepancies and preparing reports.

The ideal candidate has 2 years of coding/billing experience, CPT/ICD-10/HCPCS knowledge, and AAPC certification is preferred. Competitive benefits and remote work options available.

Formación

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 2 years of professional coding/billing experience.
• AAPC certification preferred.
• Experience with Medicare, Medicaid and other payers.
• Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Organized and efficient in handling tasks.

Responsabilidades

• Post medical charges into NextGen software promptly to meet day-to-day goals.
• Review documentation to verify diagnoses, procedures, and treatment results.
• Assign codes for reimbursements and coordinate with providers on corrections.
• Work with payers and resolve EOB issues in a timely manner.
• Generate reports and maintain knowledge of all payers.
• Assist with special projects as needed.
