Job summary

Humana is seeking a Medical Coding Educator 2 to improve provider documentation and create tailored education plans for each assigned provider. It is a remote role with travel up to 5% to surrounding provider offices and reports to the Manager, Medicare Risk Adjustment.

You will arrange educational sessions, analyze coding quality, prepare comprehensive reports using data visualization, and educate providers onsite.

Qualifications

• AHIMA or AAPC CPC certification required.
• 3+ years of medical coding education or auditing experience.
• Proficiency with data analytics tools (Excel/Power BI) and ability to interpret large data sets.
• Experience with CMS-HCC model version 28 and healthcare risk adjustment.

Responsibilities

• Arrange educational sessions with assigned providers focused on documentation improvements.
• Identify educational needs based on reports and data.
• Prepare reports and presentations on coding quality trends and outcomes.
• Provide provider onsite education and collaborate with market teams.
• Use data analytics to assess coding quality and monitor compliance.
• Analyze coding audit results to develop data-driven educational content.
• Collaborate with teams to improve documentation, data integrity, and workflows.
