Henry Ford Health is seeking a Provider Education Coordinator-Medical Coding to lead education initiatives, coordinate provider training, and ensure accurate coding and compliant documentation across hospital and ambulatory sites.

The role emphasizes collaboration with coding staff, providers, and revenue-cycle teams to improve documentation quality, billing accuracy, and reimbursement while maintaining regulatory compliance. Remote work with Detroit-area travel is involved.

Qualifications

• Must have knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathophysiology, disease processes, medical terminology, pharmacology, and coding systems.
• Minimum three (3) years in documentation improvement, coding, CDI, compliance, and/or billing for hospital/physician services.
• Two (2) years specialty coding certification preferred.
• Prior experience in a healthcare revenue cycle position required.
• High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office and/or Microsoft Access.
• Data analytics experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Drive Education Excellence: guide providers and coding staff on best practices for documentation and coding; be the go-to resource for local, state, and federal coding guidelines.
• Empower through Education: develop and implement education work plans to elevate the quality, completeness, timeliness, and accuracy of medical record documentation.
