Qualifications

• Certified coders required with post-certification experience.
• Proficiency in CPT/HCPCS coding and outpatient coding.
• Experience reading operative reports and coding accuracy is essential.
• Knowledge of chemotherapy/infusion coding and APC guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Verify accuracy and specificity of codes for services rendered.
• Review documentation to meet APC/outpatient criteria.
• Use coding resources and CPT/HCPCS reviews.
• Conduct peer reviews and produce reports.
• Maintain patient/physician confidentiality and HIPAA compliance.
• Keep current ICD-10 and CPT guidelines knowledge and participate in QA.
