Job summary

Posterity Group LLC is hiring a Medical Coder to support the Richard L. Roudebush VA Medical Center.

The coder will attach images to EHR elements, verify legibility, locate FINs, and index documents while ensuring accurate veteran records and 100% QA before submission. Requirements include knowledge of Cerner/Oracle or similar EHR systems, data entry accuracy, MS Office skills, and an active coding credential (RHIA/RHIT/CCS/CPC or equivalent).

Qualifications

• Data entry skills with high attention to detail and accuracy.
• Knowledge of computers, specifically Microsoft Office (Word and Excel).
• Prior experience with Cerner/Oracle or comparable EHR document management systems preferred.
• Active coding credential (RHIA, RHIT, CCS, CPC, or equivalent) required.
• Prior experience with VA or federal healthcare coding strongly preferred.
• At least 3 years of relevant experience.

We are tasked with staffing The Richard L. Roudebush VA Medical Center with Medical Coders. The Medical Coder is expected to do the following:

• Verifying that images are uploaded correctly and are legible for viewing.
• Locating Financial Identification Numbers (FINs) and accurately linking documents to the correct veteran record.

Salary Description

$18.90/hr - $25.75/hr
