Sunrise Medical Laboratories, Inc. in Hicksville, NY is seeking a billing professional to resolve front-end errors and payer rejections in the Clearinghouse while collecting reimbursements. You will review EOBs and carrier communications, contact providers and clients to resolve discrepancies, and adjust claims as needed.

• HS Diploma or Medical Billing Certification from an accredited school.
• 1-2 years of billing and insurance knowledge.
• Knowledge of ICD10, CPT and HCPCS codes.
• Medical terminology.
• 1-2 years of A/R follow up and denials.
• Knowledge of Excel.
• Basic understanding of medical billing compliance.

Job Summary

In this role you will:

• Work and resolve front end errors and payer rejections in Clearinghouse
• Collect reimbursements for services rendered by reviewing insurance carriers reject reports, EOBs and or correspondence
• Use established protocols to contact providers and clients to resolve discrepancies in processed, partially paid and unpaid claims with timely appropriate follow up action
• Review and adjust claims as needed and process refund and Medical record requests from mail received by the insurance companies

Requirements

• HS Diploma or Medical Billing Certification from an accredited school
• 1-2 years of billing and insurance knowledge
