Job summary

Sunrise Medical Laboratories, Inc. is seeking an Accounts Receivable specialist to support revenue cycle activities in a hospital-network setting. You will handle front-end claim errors, review EOBs and rejection reports, and follow up with payers to secure timely payments.

The role requires 1–2 years of billing experience, familiarity with ICD-10/CPT/HCPCS, medical terminology, and proficiency in Excel. Benefits and a team-oriented culture are emphasized.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or Medical Billing Certification from an accredited school.
• 1-2 years of billing and insurance knowledge.
• Knowledge of ICD10, CPT and HCPCS codes.
• Medical terminology.
• 1-2 years of A/R follow up and denials.
• Knowledge of Excel.
• Basic understanding of medical billing compliance.

Responsibilities

• Work and resolve front end errors and payer rejections in Clearinghouse.
• Collect reimbursements for services rendered by reviewing insurance carriers reject reports, EOBs and correspondence.
• Use established protocols to contact providers and clients to resolve discrepancies in processed, partially paid and unpaid claims with timely follow up action.
• Review and adjust claims as needed and process refund and Medical record requests from mail received by the insurance companies.

LOCATION: 250 Miller Place, Hicksville, NY 11801

HOURS: Monday to Friday; Flexible Hours Possible Remote Work after 6 months in Office, Weekly office work required if remote

FULL TIME: Benefits Eligible

HOURLY RATE: $18.00 - $24.00/hr
