Job summary

Signature Performance, Inc. is seeking a Medical Billing Specialist for a remote, nationwide role. The candidate will ensure accurate billing, verify CPT/ICD-10 details, and submit claims to payers and patients.

You will collaborate with coding and clinical teams to resolve issues while staying compliant with HIPAA. Ideal applicants have 1–2 years in medical billing, familiarity with major EHR systems, and strong problem-solving and communication skills to support timely claim resolution and

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree preferred.
• 1–2 years medical billing or revenue cycle experience.
• Knowledge of CPT, ICD-10, HCPCS coding and claim submission standards.
• Experience with Epic, Meditech, NextGen or similar EHR/billing software.

Responsibilities

• Review and process claims for services rendered to ensure accurate billing.
• Verify CPT, ICD-10, modifiers, and patient demographics.
• Submit claims electronically or on paper as required.
• Resolve rejections by correcting and resubmitting promptly.
• Monitor unpaid or delayed claims and follow up as needed.
• Collaborate with coding, registration, and clinical teams to resolve issues.
• Generate claims and statements as dictated by scope.
• Respond professionally to billing inquiries.
