Job summary

The US Oncology Network is seeking a Financial Care Professional to help manage payer and patient account balances from a remote home office. This role requires attention to delinquent accounts, timely collections, and accurate posting of payments, with reliable coordination across teams and adherence to HIPAA and privacy guidelines.

Ideal candidates have a minimum of two years in medical billing and payment processing, plus knowledge of claims filing and third-party processing.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years combined medical billing and payment experience.
• Knowledge of state, federal, and third-party claims processing.
• Knowledge of state & federal collections guidelines.
• Must complete required e-learning courses within 90 days of occupying position.

Responsibilities

• Monitor delinquent accounts and perform collection duties.
• Review reports, research and resolve issues.
• Review payment postings for accuracy to keep balances current.
• Coordinate with coworkers to resolve insurance payment and billing errors.
• Update delinquent account status and recommend write-offs when appropriate.
• Address patient payment, billing, and insurance questions and resolve complaints.
