Qualifications

• 1 year of related experience in healthcare administration, financial or insurance customer service, claims, billing, or call center.
• Bilingual in Spanish.
• Knowledge of medical terminology used in medical billing and current office practices.

Responsibilities

• Receive incoming calls from customers regarding patient accounts, statements, billing, claims, denials, and other reimbursement matters.
• Investigate escalated billing inquiries and resolve accounts.
• Research, resolve, correct, and prevent invoice discrepancies by interacting with customers and staff.
• Route pending insurance and claims processing matters to appropriate staff for follow up.
• Communicate insurance coverage benefits including out-of-pocket responsibilities, deductible, and coinsurance.
• Answer questions regarding processing of medical claims including denials by insurance companies.
• Resolve billing complaints by resolving holds, adjustments, and small balance reviews.
• Prepare and send correspondence to customers related to invoices and payment history.
