Qualifications

• Experience in medical billing and/or coding is preferred.
• Familiarity with EHR or billing platforms (Kareo, AdvancedMD, Athenahealth, etc.).
• Medical billing or coding certification is a plus (CPC, CBCS, etc.).
• Basic understanding of insurance processes and terminology.

Responsibilities

• Process and submit medical claims accurately and efficiently.
• Review patient charts and assign ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS codes.
• Communicate with insurance companies, providers, and team members as needed.
• Manage denied or unpaid claims and re-submit when necessary.
• Maintain HIPAA confidentiality.
