Job summary

Clarity Pediatrics is seeking a Medical Assistant to join its fully remote care team. You will schedule patient appointments, collect and organize data, and communicate with providers to support chronic pediatric care for conditions like ADHD and obesity.

The role follows a 9 AM–6 PM PST schedule, Monday through Friday, with occasional Saturday coverage. The candidate should have a high school diploma or GED and knowledge of EHR systems.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; Medical Assistant certification (CCMA, AAMA, or equivalent) preferred but not required.
• Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems and multiple technology platforms.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and documentation.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced, remote environment.
• Enthusiasm for joining a growing startup and contributing to innovative care models.
• Reliable internet connection and a dedicated workspace suitable for remote work.

Responsibilities

• Schedule and coordinate patient appointments across the care team using EHR and scheduling systems.
• Respond to patient inquiries regarding appointment availability and reschedule as needed.
• Track and reduce no-show rates by sending reminders and proactive outreach to families.
• Manage scheduling logistics including confirmation calls/messages and appointment preparation.
• Gather, organize, and maintain patient intake forms, medical histories, and relevant documentation.
• Verify patient information is complete and accurate in the EHR system before clinical visits.
• Reach out to referring providers to establish care, obtain medical records, and clarify patient history.
• Support care coordination by communicating appointment outcomes and updates to referring providers.
• Track referral status and follow up on outstanding items with external providers.
