Washington Institute for Coagulation d/b/a Washington Center for Bleeding Disorders (WACBD) is seeking a Medical Accounts Receivable Billing Specialist in Seattle. You will manage insurance and patient AR, ensure timely billing, and support reimbursement efforts.

Responsibilities include resolving denials, posting payments, and communicating with payers and patients. Hybrid/remote options may apply, with a focus on accurate documentation and compliance.

Qualificações

• Experience in medical billing and A/R with claim follow-up, denials, appeals, and payment posting.
• Knowledge of CPT, ICD-10, HCPCS and payer policies.
• Proficiency with clearinghouses and payer portals.

Responsabilidades

• Review AR aging reports to identify outstanding balances and prioritize follow-up.
• Work complex denials (coding, medical necessity, eligibility, prior auth, etc.) and submit appeals.
• Contact insurance companies to verify claim status and resolve payment issues.
• Post, reconcile, and verify insurance payments accurately.
• Communicate with patients regarding eligibility and out-of-pocket costs.
• Reconcile remittance advice, post payments and adjustments, escalate variances.
• Collaborate with internal departments to resolve billing issues.
• Report trends in denials and payer performance to management.
• Maintain detailed records of all account activity in the billing system.
• Collaborate with Revenue Integrity/Coding to correct charge capture and support SOP updates.
