Midwest Physician Group (MPG) is hiring a full-time Accounts Receivable Biller for a multi-specialty physician organization in the Kansas City area. This is a remote role with onsite training at our Overland Park, KS office during the initial period, followed by a remote schedule with occasional onsite meetings.

The ideal candidate will handle unpaid claims, denials, and reimbursements, ensuring accurate patient billing and HIPAA-compliant processes.

Qualifications

• Experience in medical billing or accounts receivable preferred.
• Knowledge of medical insurance billing, claims processing, and reimbursement.
• Experience with commercial insurance and Medicare.
• Strong attention to detail, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple accounts, and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Follow up on unpaid insurance claims and outstanding balances.
• Research and resolve claim denials, rejections, and underpayments.
• Contact insurance companies regarding claim status and payment delays.
• Submit corrected claims and appeals as needed.
• Document collection efforts and maintain accurate account records.
• Collaborate with billing and practice staff to resolve claim issues.
• Maintain HIPAA compliance and protect patient information.
