Job summary

Peraton is seeking a Policy Research Analyst to support SafeGuard Services on the NE UPIC contract, focusing on Medicaid regulations across multiple states. The role will research, interpret, and articulate state and federal policies while partnering with the Medicaid team on project development and education.

You will prepare written policy contributions, engage CMS and state stakeholders, and track workload for regular reporting.

Qualifications

• 5+ years policy research and analysis experience.
• Ability to present state policies and regulations and impact.
• Strong writing and presentation skills for management.
• Experience using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• US citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Research, understand, and articulate Federal and State Medicaid regulations as they relate to program administration across the northeastern states.
• Educate the Medicaid team and support project development through policy insights.
• Provide written policy contributions for the Analytical Findings Report.
• Collaborate with Project Coordination and Data teams to identify projects.
• Identify vulnerabilities arising from policy research and propose mitigations.
• Engage with state Medicaid agencies and CMS in policy discussions.
• Maintain awareness of evolving issues affecting state Medicaid programs in the jurisdiction.
• Support special research projects for the Medicaid Operations Lead.
• Maintain the Medicaid Policies & Procedures Manual with annual and ad hoc updates.
• Track policy workload and report monthly to the Medicaid Operations Lead.
• Oversee state meeting agendas and minutes with the Business Analyst.
• Role allows telework from all states and across time zones.
