Job summary

SafeGuard Services (SGS), a Peraton subsidiary, seeks a skilled policy analyst to research and interpret federal and state Medicaid regulations for the northeastern jurisdiction and related initiatives. You will serve as the subject matter expert and collaborate with the broader Medicaid team to educate on program nuances by state.

The role emphasizes policy analysis, written contributions, and coordination with project and data teams, with telework options across the United States.

Qualifications

• 5 years with BS/BA or 9 years with a HS Diploma.
• At least 5 years’ experience in policy research and analysis.
• Ability to present and discuss state policies and regulations in connection with project impact.
• Ability to research policies, interpret regulations and regulatory rules/guidance.
• Strong interpersonal skills; able to work independently and in a team.
• Excellent planning and organizational skills.
• Excellent oral and written communications; able to present to all management levels.
• Meet deadlines and handle multiple customer service demands.
• Adaptability and self-motivation.
• Experience using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
• US citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Research, understand, and articulate Federal and State regulations and policy as they relate to State Medicaid programs.
• Act as subject matter expert and educate the Medicaid team in tandem with project development or referrals.
• Articulate policy/regulations in written form and via discussions/presentations.
• Provide written policy contributions for the Analytical Findings Report.
• Identify projects in collaboration with Project Coordination and Data teams.
• Track policy workload and report monthly to the Medicaid Operations Lead.
• Oversee state meeting agendas and minutes with the Business Analyst.
• Telework available from all states and time zones.
