Genesis Healthcare is seeking a detail-oriented Medicaid Eligibility Support Coordinator to manage the full Medicaid application process for new and converting residents for an assigned group of nursing centers. This remote role involves gathering documents, submitting applications, tracking cases through approval/denial, and managing Medicaid Pending accounts receivable.

Qualifications

• Education: College Degree Preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage the Medicaid application process for new and converting residents.
• Gather documents and submit applications.
• Track cases through approval/denial and manage Medicaid Pending accounts receivable.
• Identify residents needing Medicaid.
• Communicate with families and gather required documents.
• Obtain necessary authorizations and coordinate financial documentation.
• Collaborate with nursing center staff on clinical eligibility.
• Submit applications within 30 days and maintain records.
• Monitor progress and respond to information requests.
• Track cases in Open Caseload Report/PCC.
• Escalate complex cases and coordinate referrals as needed.
• Inform parties of denials and coverage gaps.
• Encourage Resident Fund Management/Direct Deposit and complete spousal estimates.
• Participate in case and aging reviews.
• Conduct weekly calls with Business Office personnel.
