Job summary
Genesis is seeking a healthcare billing professional to join our Beckley-area operations, supporting Medicaid-heavy billing across centers. The role requires accuracy in census and billing tasks and collaboration with the Nursing Home Administrator and Centralized Billing Office.
The ideal candidate has a high school diploma and is comfortable processing refunds, patient trust fund transactions, and admission file reviews. Relocation not specified; training provided.
Qualifications
- Medicaid experience is required.
- High school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Experience with billing systems and refunds is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the Nursing Home Administrator, business office, nursing center staff and the Centralized Billing Office.
- Assist with census, billing, month-end activities, collections, refunds and patient/resident trust fund transactions.
- Complete Medical Assistance application tasks.
- Coordinate patient/resident ancillary charges and enter into the billing system.
- Review patient/resident admission files for accuracy.
